Routine FISH analysis does not detect partial trisomies or other structural rearrangements that do not involve the probe region analyzed. FISH assays were developed and their performance determined by this laboratory. Some FISH probes have not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has determined that such clearance or approval is not necessary. These tests are intended for clinical use
