Pathology residents and Hematology Fellows, during their pathology rotation,
will split their time between the Molecular Pathology
Lab and the Genetics Lab. During their time in genetics
they have the opportunity to culture, harvest, and analyze their own chromosomes.
This will give them a brief introduction into the workings
of chromosome analysis and its importance in the treatment
and diagnosis of patients. If time allows they will also
observe the microarray testing we perform.
If you will be doing a pathology rotation please contact
our lab one week prior, to schedule a time to have your
blood drawn for analysis.
